Output capability
is the most expensive attribute of a headend amplifier, and reducing
its need, gives you more system for your dollar.
By mixing and splitting
in one step, the MM-2X2 saves you 3.5 dB of VHF amplifier output capability
so smaller amplifiers will drive a larger adjacent-channel system.
The MM-2X2 saves
the signal energy in the ordinary three-port mixer and delivers it from
a forth port to drive one half of the system. The saving permits either
an increase in the system or reduction in the headend cost. It handles
sub, mid and super channels and FM.
